Above Average Crop Likely

The winter crop is will push through 30mt, according to Australian Crop Forecasters (ACF) who are upping their forecast.

It’s a mirror image of last year’s crop, where it was dry in the north and the south had a reasonable season. This year the south had a late break, and still hasn’t received significant rainfall, while northern NSW and Queensland are very positive. However, WA is the wildcard with “all scenarios on the table”. After a poor start and great winter rainfall, good rain from here could push the WA crop above average, which looked unlikely in May.
