Domestic commercial disappearance in cheese fell 2.7% YOY in July, driven by a –2.1% fall in American cheese varieties and a  -3.2% YOY fall in demand for other cheese types (including mozzarella). We estimate total per capita cheese domestic commercial disappearance has declined to 17.5kg/capita in the year to July, down from a peak of 18kg/capita in Feb-23.

Butter commercial disappearance was marginally lower – down 0.8% YOY in July but increased 6.9% over the last year.
