December milk intake fell 1.2% YOY, taking season to date production 2.1% behind the season prior according to Dairy Australia.
Output in Victoria fell 1.9% YOY in December, with season to date production 2.6% behind the prior year comparable. Output across the state was mixed; December production was down 2.4% YOY in Gippsland, while intake rose 1.1% YOY in northern Victoria. Output was down 3.8% YOY in western Victoria for the month. December milk production in NSW jumped 5.2% YOY, with season to date output 3.6% ahead of the comparable. Tasmanian milk intake was down 3.6% YOY in December, taking season to date production 5.9% behind the previous season. South Australian milk output rose 2.2% YOY for the month while production remains 0.1% ahead of the season prior.
