National milk production increased 2.9% YOY in August, while season-to-date output was up +2.3%.
Victorian milk output rose 3.6% YOY led by a 7.2% increase in Northern Victoria for August. Gippsland output was up 5.4% for the month, while Western Victorian output declined 0.4% YOY as dry conditions continue to impact. August production was also up in NSW and SA, by 5.8% YOY and 3.8% YOY, respectively. Enough to more than offset declines in Tasmania -4.3% YOY, Queensland (-3%) Western Australia (-5.3%) for the month.
