Australian Exports Up In November

Australian exports rose in 46.8% YOY in November, in milk solids equivalent terms, increasing YOY in every month since December 2023, led by cheese, milk powders and fats. Exports increased most major commodities (except dry whey, lactose, infant formula and milk & cream) in November.

Cheese exports rose 36.5% YOY to a 5-month high in November, mostly reflecting stronger sales to SE Asia, China & HK and Japan. November SMP exports were up 21% YOY to an almost 3-year high, mostly reflecting stronger sales into SE Asia. WMP exports more than doubled in November , albeit on small volumes. Fat exports rose 157% YOY for the month in commercial butter equivalents – AMF was up 48.3% YOY and butter shipments increased 232% YOY.
