Milk output rose 2.8% YOY in March according to Dairy Australia.
In Victoria, production rose 4.2% YOY for the month bringing seasonal output 2.6% ahead of the comparable. Output jumped +7.9% YOY in the state’s north, while production in Gippsland lifted +5.9% YOY in March. In Western VIC, intake was down 1.2% YOY. In NSW, milk output rose 2.4% YOY with seasonal intake 5.7% ahead of the prior year comparable. Tasmanian output fell 0.8% YOY in March, but remains 3.8% ahead of the season before.
