National milk production was up +3.5% YOY in May, bringing season-to-date intake +3% of the same period last year.
Victorian milk production rose 4.4% YOY in May, with Gippsland up +11.8% and northern Victoria up +4.1%. Dry conditions impacted milk production in the west of the state, where May intake was -1.7% down YOY.
NSW milk output was up +3.3% YOY in May, bringing production +5.3% ahead for the season to date. SA output was +2.1% ahead for month while Tasmanian milk production was marginally higher, up +0.9% YOY.
