Bega Cheese has announced a record opening price of $8.40kgMS for the 2022/23 season for suppliers in Victoria and the Riverina along with a 10c/kgMS step up for deliveries in the current financial year.
Bega Cheese chairman Barry Irvin said the current season step up and milk price increase is on the back of strong global commodity markets. He said depending on size and supply profile, most Bega suppliers in Victoria, southeast South Australia and Riverina will receive an opening price in the range of $8.20kgMS to $8.60kgMS. All Bega’s exclusive suppliers have a choice of milk price systems that best suit their farming business.
