Beston Global Foods is in talks to potentially sell its dairy operations “to ensure continued financial viability”. Beston’s plant can produce up to 25mt of freeze dried lactoferrin annually. Bankers have extended the expiry date on the company’s debt facilites by three months while discussions are ongoing. Beston said it remains committed to the South Australian dairy sector and its supplier base.
Beston has confirmed the $4m sale of its meat division to a consortium of trusts and superannuation funds with a background in the meat-processing industry. Beston will use funds from the sale to pay down debt.
