Beston Global Food Company’s has released an ASX announcement stating it has successfully expanded its lactoferrin capacity, with a third column commissioned and fully operational. Beston expects lactoferrin sales to exceed 10t in the first half of 2024. Beston has developed a high purity lactoferrin product called mediferrin, developed for its strategic partnerships in China, South Korea, India and some European markets.
Meanwhile, Beston is on track to achieve its largest milk processing year in its history with “impressive growth” when compared to the same period a year ago. The growth in milk volumes is attributed to a robust spring flush peak milk period and improved flexibility at Beston’s plants to produce other forms of milk solids. Beston says it remains focused on delivering operational and efficiency improvements across its processing sites. Beston divested its water business and has received interest from numerous parties in its meat business. When the divestments are complete, Beston says it will focus its resources and efforts on its Dairy and Dairy Nutrition business.
