by | Oct 31, 2024 | Australia, Weather

The Bureau of Meteorology’s long-range forecast for November to January is for above average rainfall for eastern, western and far north Australia. In line with previous predictions, day and night-time temperatures are expected to be unusually warm.

Rainfall is likely to be above average for most of Queensland, and along the east coast as well as north-eastern Tasmania. Streamflows are forecast to be low for parts of the south-east and south-west of the mainland while near-median to high flows expected across Tasmania.

There is an increased chance of unusually high maximum temperatures across most of Australia with highest chances in Tasmania for the three month period. Ocean temperatures are expected to remain warmer than average for November to January.
