Bulla Dairy Foods has announced an opening milk price range of $7.40kgMS – $8.00kgMS for the 2022/23 season, up $1kgMS – $1.10kgMS on current season’s opening price. The opening price announcement is well ahead of the 1 June deadline, but is designed to assist farmers in their decision-making according to Bulla’s manager of dairy and procurement Rohan Davies.

With the current economic climate and its new level of complexities, Davies said Bulla was “pleased to provide a strong baseline position which will see farmers looking forward to another season of higher prices. He didn’t rule out a further price increase closer to the start of the 2022/23 season once there is more market certainty to inform Bulla’s forecasting.
