Burra Foods increased its farmgate milk price by $0.10kgMS across the full FY2021 year as the result of strengthening international demand for dairy products and “the agility of Burra Foods to capture value.”

Chief executive officer Stewart Carson said Burra had adjusted its product mix, taking advantage of increased demand. He flagged the continued strengthening of the Australian dollar against the US dollar as a challenge, but said the processor remains confident with its position to increase its milk price for the season.
