The GDT index rose 0.6% at event #404, pushed higher by lifts in powders and butter and despite overall lower demand at the event.

Powder prices were mixed with Fonterra C2 Regular WMP prices up 1.1% to US$3,740/t, while the Fonterra MH SMP C2 prices dropped 0.3% to US$3,610/t. EU SMP pricing saw little change, with average Arla C2 product rising 0.1% while Solarec C2 was flat from the previous event. Fonterra Butter and AMF price trends were mixed. NZ C2 average butter price rose 3.0% to US$5,840/t, with Solarec C2 gaining 1.8% to SU$4,765/t. Conversely, NZ C2 AMF price fell 0.9% to uS$6,360/t.

Cheese prices remain unsteady. The average price fell 1.1%, dragged down by the NZ young cheddar C1 and C3 prices, which fell 2.5% and 5.4%, respectfully. NZ young cheddar C2 prices rose 1.3% to US$4,610/t. Solarec C2 Mozzarella prices gained 3.0%.
