More was revealed about the UK-Australia FTA, and it’s looking up for cheese. Tariffs on dairy products are eliminated over a 5-year period. During the transition period, Australia will have immediate access to a duty-free cheese quota of 24,000t, which will rise in instalments to 48,000t in year five. Australia will also have an immediate duty-free quota for non-cheese dairy of 20,000t.
