There were high rainfall totals recorded across eastern Australia over the Easter long weekend as a strong cold front moved across southern Australia bringing wintery weather with it.
The north-western parts of Victoria missed out while central and eastern Victoria recording more substantial rainfall. Parts of eastern Victoria received up to 98mm of rainfall, while the state’s west received up to 88mm. In Gippsland, 34mm were recorded on top of 62mm last week. Temperatures dropped to 2C – 5C below average and are expected to remain below average until conditions ease later in the week.
