Saleyard transactions of dairy cow culls, as reported by the National Livestock Reporting Service (NLRS), were flat YOY in the 2025/26 season (July-June). July-26 alone declined 27% YOY, the fourth consecutive monthly fall as farmers were incentivized to retain cow due to improved operating conditions. The average July saleyard price of 345c/kg liveweight was 1.0% lower than the prior month.
