The monthly CPI rose 2.1% in the 12 months to October, the lowest annual rate since July 2021. Falls in electricity and fuel prices were major contributors.
Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices rose 3.3% in the 12 months to October, unchanged from September. Dairy and related products was the only category to record a decrease in annual prices, with milk, cheese and ice cream cheaper than in October 2023.
