Dairy Australia recently revised historical milk production data going back to the start of the 2020/21 season, suggesting national supply bottomed in 2022/23 at 8.26bn litres before increasing in each of the three following seasons to reach 8.65bn litres in 2025/26. The revised data indicates Australia’s milk production in 2024/25 was previously understated by 210mn litres, a significant difference which has affected historical EA Risk commodity milk values (CMV) calculations.
Our web site has been updated accordingly, with Dairy Australia revisions ultimately leading to historical downward revisions in weekly CMV values.
