Total fluid milk sales volume edged higher for the 2025‑26 season-to-date (July-January), with national packaged milk sales up 1% compared to last season, reaching 1.39 bn for the period. While early months showed some softness, stronger summer demand and population growth helped lift cumulative sales into positive territory. Full cream, which still dominates the category, was slightly lower for the season-to-date (‑0.3%) despite the overall growth.
In contrast, reduced‑fat milk volumes were +2.1%. UHT milk sales also rose (+3.6%), reflecting resilience in pantry‑stable products amid cost‑of‑living pressures.
