EU-28 deliveries rose 1.2% YOY in November. The overall growth was despite a 0.4% YOY contraction in France and Germany milk down 0.5% YOY for the month. Ireland (+8.6% YOY) and Italy (+3.8% YOY) jointly accounted for 49% of the overall growth in the month (145m litres). There was also YOY expansion in the UK (+1.8%), Poland (+1.5%), Sweden (+4.9%), Spain (+1.7%) and Belgium (+2.4%) in November.
According to the most recent available data, French milk production fell 2% in week 52 (ending 27 December 2020). That was the 12th consecutive weekly contraction. German supply fell 1.1% YOY in week 52 and has been declining since mid-August.
