German-based IFE Institute’s estimated average EU raw milk value is up 0.3c to 35.9c/kg at the based on official prices of butter and SMP in Germany, France and the Netherlands. The average price of butter is up €63 to €4,147/t while SMP averaged €2,502/t, up €8. FrieslandCampina put their guaranteed milk price for April up 0.75c/kg on March at 36.00c/kg. The price includes a reduction of 0.20c as a result of lower reference prices in the previous period.

Freshagenda’s own European commodity milk value index fell to 36.38c, down from 36.78c as prices of butter fell in the Netherlands (-€100) and Germany (-€150).
