Dairy farmers across NSW and Queensland were reportedly dumping milk in the wake of flooding caused by ex-tropical cyclone Alfred.   

Norco farms located in the area affected by residual flooding were forced to dump 375,000 litres of milk. Norco CEO Michael Hampson said there would be limited affect on milk supplies. However Hampson is concerned farmers will feel a long-term impact of the residual wet weather with animals effected by the wet and potential flow-on effects on milk supply and incomes if farmers have to dry off cows.
