Fonterra collected 6.9m kgs of milksolids from its off-farm and third-party suppliers, a 1.2% improvement YOY. Season to date production was 0.5% behind the prior year comparative. The new season outlook remains balanced according to Fonterra’s August Global Dairy Update, with a 70% chance of a third consecutive La Niña developing over spring-summer posing risks to peak production and the possibility of flooding.
