In its latest Global Dairy Update Fonterra reported year-over-year increases in milk collections in June due to favourable pasture conditions and feed availability.

Milk production rose 1m kgMS YOY to 14.0m kgMS in the North Island, while milk collections in the South Island of 3.7m kgMS were on par with June 2025. In the North, rainfall was below average for the month in parts, while temperatures were above average for most regions. In the South, however, Fonterra reported mild weather conditions with record warm June temps and above average soil moistures for Marlborough while rainfall and soil moisture was below average in Canterbury.
