According to the most recent data, French milk production fell 2.4% YOY in week 26 this year (ending 3 July 2022), the 14th consecutive weekly contraction. German supply rose 0.3% YOY in week 25 however, reflecting a weak prior year comparable and is expected to continue falling in coming weeks. AHDB reports UK production declined 2.2% YOY in the first 25 days of June after falling 1.3% YOY in May.

Based on 88% of average reported milk production, EU-27 supplies fell 1.6% in May according to Eurostat, which will bring a result that is similar to the April decline. This mostly reflects weaker production in France (-1.9% YOY), Germany (-1.8% YOY), Ireland (-2.4% YOY) and the Netherlands (-0.8% YOY).
