WMP prices rose 1.7% to average US$3,408/t at auction #356, with above average demand meeting increased volumes on offer from the previous event. Improved Chinese involvement helped the result, while SE Asian buyers kept volumes above the average to date in 2024. SMP averaged US$2,629/t, a 3.5% increase on the previous event, following the lead from EU markets.

AMF continued its unbeaten run, up 3.5% to average US$7,365/t and the 18th event without the average price falling. Butter averaged US$6,931/t a 5.1% improvement on the previous event with Chinese buyers accounting for more than half the volume offered. Mozzarella prices were up an astonishing 9.5% to average US$4,215/t while cheddar struck the only  disappointing note in this positive event, down 0.4% to an average of US$4,239/t.
