The negative price trends for WMP and SMP continued at this week’s GDT Pulse event.

The C2 price for regular WMP settled at US$3,935/t down 3.2% compared to the C2 price achieved at last week’s GDT auction #382 and 2.4% lower than the prior Pulse. The C2 price for New Zealand-origin medium heat SMP fell 2.5% against GDT #382 to US$2,710/t, and was –0.6% against the prior Pulse. European product was down -0.7% compared to last week’s GDT, settling at US$2,695/t, but 3.7% up on the prior Pulse result.

There were 26 winning bidders out of 48 participating who claimed 1,984t of the available 2,050t of product.
