After reaching record highs in July, hay prices continue to fall as the market resets after a dry winter and late break in many regions.

Victoria had its warmest January to September on record, accelerating crop development but stretching limited moisture reserves. Southwest Victoria remains critically dry however, soil moisture is expected to improve with a high likelihood of daily showers across the region into next week.
