Irish milk production was up 30.1% YOY in December, according to Eurostat on low year-ago comparables. When compared to December 2022, milk production was down 5.5% for the month. Full 2024 calendar year milk output was down 0.4% compared to the same period a year-ago. Polish milk production was up 3.8% YOY in December, a similar expansion as in November.

In latest weekly data, French milk supplies declined continued to decline – down 2.9% YOY in week 4 (ending 26 January 2025). In week 5, German milk production declined 1.9% YOY, and was down consistently since mid-July 2024. UK milk production continues to rise albeit at a slower pace, increasing 2.9% YOY in week 5.
