Irish milk intake totalled was up 14.8% YOY in October, according to the Irish Central Statistics Office (CSO) on low year-ago comparables. When compared to October 2022, milk production was down 2.4% for the month. Year-to-date (January to October) milk intake is down 2.7% compared to a year-ago.
CSO reports fat content was 4.93%, up marginally from 4.92% in October 2023, while protein content rose from 3.93% to 4.03% in the 12 months to October 2024.
