Irish milk deliveries rose every month this year, lifting by 8.3% YOY in October, but on a weak prior-year comparable. Among other major producing countries which have published October data on Eurostat, Dutch output fell 0.1% YOY, remaining near-flat for the last two months for which data is available. Poland deliveries rose 1.9% YOY in October – growth remains healthy but at a five-month low. Belgium production rose 1.2% YOY in October – supply increased in each month so far in 2020 except for August.
According to the most recent available data, French milk production fell 1.3% in week 48 (ending 29 November 2020). That was the eight consecutive weekly contraction. German supply fell 0.2% YOY in week 47 and has been declining since mid-August. According to daily AHDB milk collections data, UK milk supply rose 3.6% in the first 28 days of November – this followed a 2.1% expansion in October.
