June milk output fell -2.2% YOY on a solids basis-the lowest June production data recorded in New Zealand since 2020. On a volume basis, milk intake was down –1.1% YOY.
According to NZX, grass growth across the Waikato and Taranaki on the North Island was favourable, while drier soils persisted in the second half of June across the South Island, hampering pasture growth.
