South Australian cheese manufacturer La Casa Del Formaggio is looking for more milk from dairy farmers across the region to meet demand for its products, as the processor builds a $35m cheese production facility. Production at the facility is slated to commence in October, allowing for a significant increase in milk storage and processing capacity. According to La Casa’s managing director Claude Cicchiello, the company was expanding its milk pool by offering a strong, sustainable milk price to suppliers and with a new cheese production facility, suppliers can invest with confidence to grow their businesses.
