Lactalis Australia has confirmed its acquisition of Australia-based yoghurt maker Jalna Dairy Foods, including the Jalna brand, a milk farm in northern Victoria and a yoghurt production facility in Melbourne. Lactalis said the acquisition would expand its yoghurt portfolio of iconic brands, strengthening Lactalis Australia’s leadership role in the local dairy sector and the company’s long-term investment in Australia. Jalna is a fully integrates dairy business producing pot sets of yoghurts, manufactures the majority of its unique containers and operates a biodynamic farm.
