This week’s Pulse event, the 100th of its kind, was mixed with increases for WMP and butter prices, while AMF declined and SMP was mixed.
Regular NZ WMP rose 0.4% from the latest GDT event to US$3,605/t, while Instant WMP settled at US$3,700/t, also up 0.4% from the prior event. SMP prices were mixed with NZ Medium heat settling at US$2,990/t, +2.4% on prices achieved at GDT #397 and still selling at a premium compared to Arla’s MH SMP, which settled at US2,745/t, down 2.0% from GDT #397.
Butter prices rose with NZ unsalted butter selling for US$6,165/t—5.6% higher than at GDT #397. AMF, offered in two iterations, was sold at lower prices compared to the latest GDT event. Regular NZ AMF sold for US$6,330/t, down 1.4% on the prior event.
