Dairy Australia (DA) reported a 2.2% YOY drop in November milk output in data released just before Christmas. For the season, milk production is trailing –2.3% behind the prior year comparable.

Milk production continued to trend below the prior season in the southern region with YOY declines across Victoria (-3.1% YOY) and South Australia (SA) (-8.4% YOY) with seasonal output tracking below prior year in both states. In Tasmania, milk output was steady, declining -0.1% YOY in November due to spring rainfall easing rainfall deficiencies. Milk output in November rose versus the prior year in NSW (+2.2% YOY) and Queensland (+2.9% YOY).
