NZ March milk drops

The latest data from DCANZ indicates March milk production fell for the eighth consecutive month, down 1.5% YOY on a milk solids basis and 1.9% YOY on a tonnage basis. Year to date, milk solids production is down 3.8%, while production on a tonnage basis is 4% behind the prior year comparative.

NZX is forecasting 2021/22 season production will track 4.6% behind the 2020/21 season with only two months to go and poor pasture conditions for most of the past few months.
