Milk production continued to fall in New Zealand late last year with DCANZ reporting a 0.9% YOY fall in production on a milk solids basis in November, and a 1.7% YOY decline on a milk volume basis. Pasture conditions improved significantly in the 2nd half of November which will also benefit the December numbers, expected in a couple of weeks.
The November fall in production marks the sixth month of YOY falls in production after milk collections lifted YOY in June 2022. However, prior to this output had been down on the year ago comparables since August 2021.
