Prices for both regular grade WMP and medium heat SMP lifted at the latest GDT Pulse event compared to last week’s GDT #363.

Regular grade WMP rose 0.7% to US$3,430/t compared to GDT #363, but this was 3.7% lower than prices achieved at the previous Pulse event. The nearest SGX-NZX futures contract settled at US$3,455/t yesterday, US$25/t above the GDT Pulse price.

Medium heat SMP price rose 2.6% to US$2,800/t and +4.9% compared to the price achieved at the previous Pulse event. The nearest SGX-NZX SMP futures price settled at US$2,730/t, US$70/t above the Pulse price.

There were 20 winning bidders out of 47 participants taking 2,209t of the 2,250t product offered at the Pulse event, that lasted 15 rounds over 30 minutes.
