Prices declined across commodities at this week’s GDT Pulse event, with Arla’s medium heat SMP prices unreported for a third consecutive event as product prices were likely not bid higher than the starting price.

NZ regular WMP settled at US$3,650/t, down US$30/t from the price achieved at GDT #389. The price was US$5/t lower than the nearest SGX-NZX WMP futures contract. Meanwhile, NZ instant WMP C2 prices declined 0.3% to US$3,745/t against GDT #389.

The NZ medium heat SMP C2 price eased US$15/t on GDT #389, settling at US$2,585/t. Arla’s medium heat SMP price was again not reported as only 150t was sold at the  event. The latest Pulse price for Arla medium heat SMP was reported on 9 September at Pulse auction 88 where Arla medium heat SMP C2 settled at US$2,575/t.
