WMP prices rose to US$2,955/t at this week’s GDT Pulse event #37, up 1.7% from the latest GDT event #343 and 0.9% higher than the price achieved at the previous Pulse event. The nearest SGX-NZX WMP futures contract settled at US$2,960/t, US$5/t higher than yesterday’s result.

Meanwhile, medium heat SMP sold at the Pulse event was down 3.9% to US$2,585/t from the price achieved at GDT #343 but was US$105/t higher than the previous Pulse event.

There were 20 winning bidders, down four, from 42 (up five) participating bidders. The auction lasted 16 rounds compared to 10 for Pulse #36, taking 32 minutes (up 12). 2,180mt of the 2,250mt on offer was sold.
