Average WMP prices lifted slightly at Pulse event #38 to US$2,979/t, edging up 0.1% from GDT #344 and 0.8% higher than Pulse event #37. Meanwhile, medium heat SMP prices fell to US$2,515/t, down 1.2% from GDT event #344 and US$70/t lower than the previous Pulse event.

More bidders turned up to the event with 26 winning bidders, up from 20 at the previous event from 46 participating bidders. Despite the greater turnout, Pulse #38 was shorter than the previous event, lasting 26 minutes over 13 rounds, compared to 32 minutes over 16 rounds at Pulse #37. The quantity sold at last night’s Pulse event totalled 2,217t of the 2,250t on offer.
