Rain Falls Across Dry Areas

by | Jun 12, 2025 | Australia, Weather

Over the weekend, much needed rain fell across Australia’s southeast with eastern SA received at least 10mm and parts of Victoria more than 25mm. Inland in western Victoria, 80mm of rain was reported while other areas in the state’s west noted rainfall of 44mm.

The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting more rain this week, however, many areas are hundreds of millimetres behind the average rainfall. In South Australia, a dry autumn has delayed seeding in some areas as there is no sub-soil moisture. While farmers welcome the rain replenishing dams and turning pastures green, it is far from drought-breaking.
