Above average rainfall is likely for dairy regions along the east coast from March to May according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) .

Large parts of the southern Australia can expect typical autumn rainfall. Meanwhile, above average temperatures are forecast for most areas with a higher chance of warmer nights and days.

South Australia and large parts of the east and Tasmania were drier than usual in January, while most of coastal NSW and the Queensland central coast received more rainfall for the month. January 2025 was the second warmest January on record across Australia. As a result, soil moisture is below average for southern parts of the country.
