Early November rainfall increased flows into water storages with more water allocated. According to Northern Victoria resource manager Dr Mark Bailey, rainfall lifted the seasonal determination to 100% high-reliability water shares (HRWS) in the Murray system, up from 93% HRWS. Meanwhile, seasonal determinations rose from 57% HRWS to 60% HRWS in the Goulburn and Loddon systems. The Broken system recorded 37% HRWS, up from 32% HRWS. No changes were noted in the Campaspe and Bullarook systems, which sit at 100% HRWS and 0% HRWS, respectively.
Meanwhile, feed prices are steady. Northern Victoria wheat prices were unchanged the past few weeks and sit well below prior years.
