Saputo has announced a 15c per kgMS increase to prices for its exclusive southern region suppliers. The increase takes the weighted average price to a range of $8.30 to $8.45kg MS. The payment will be made this month with April proceeds, and applies to all eligible milk supplied since 1 July 2024.
In announcing the step up in a letter to suppliers Saputo said continued stabilisation of commodity prices for the start of calendar year 2025 had allowed it to pay a competitive price, however “domestic market challenges persist as cost-of-living pressures impact the local trading environment. Consumers remain cost sensitive and value focused”.
