The Resource manager for northern Victorian water systems has updated the outlook for 2024/25 seasonal determinations.
Reserves established in water storages during 2023/24 provided a strong foundation for carried over allocation and 2024/25. The opening determination in the Murray System on 1 July is likely to be 60% of high security water shares (HRWS), while the Goulburn and Loddon systems are likely to be around 70% HRWS. The Campaspe system has sufficient resource to allocated 100% HRWS.
Average inflows will allow the Murray, Goulburn, Loddon and Bullarook systems to reach 100% HRWS by mid-August, according to Resource Manager Dr Mark Bailey.
