This week’s GDT Pulse event was mixed for powders, with regular and instant WMP continued to gain while SMP prices came off its previous highs.

Fonterra’s regular WMP C2 price settled at US$3,650/t, US$25/t higher than the price achieved at GDT #402 and US$50/t higher than the prior Pulse event. Meanwhile, instant WMP C2 prices rose US$65/t from the latest Pulse event to settle at US$3,760/t. Fonterra medium heat SMP C2 price settled at US$3,400/t, US$65/t cheaper than the price achieved at GDT #402 but 1.8% ahead of the previous Pulse price. Arla’s MH SMP C2 price rose US$250/t to US$250/t.

Fat prices were lower. NZ butter C2 prices fell US$95/t from GDT #402 to US$5,720/t, while AMF prices declined significantly with NZ AMF premium C2 prices dropping US$250/t to US$6,080/t, while NZ Regular C2 prices plummeted US$210/t to US$6,045/t.
