US dairy shipments rose 11.5% YOY in milk solid equivalent terms during July, reflecting increases in cheese, dry whey, SMP and fats.

Cheese shipments were +10.1% YOY for the month, mostly reflecting stronger shipments to Mexico. NFDM/SMP exports surged in July, up 11% YOY to a 14-month high, with increasing shipments to Mexico and SE Asia.

Dry whey exports rose 26.3% YOY in July, featuring increased sales into China & HK, SE Asia and Japan. Butter exports were up 16.2% YOY for the month.
